Coaldale Cares: Blood Drive and Campaign
On Friday, December 1st a group of staff and students from KA joined others from the Town of Coaldale, International Truck Body and the Kinsmen Club of Coaldale at Canadian Blood Services in Lethbridge to help kick off the Coaldale Cares campaign. The goal of the Coaldale Cares Campaign is to collect at least 100 blood donations from residents of Coaldale and surrounding area.
On December 15th KA is holding a blood drive, where a bus will take eligible students and staff to C.B.S. in Lethbridge to make donations. For more information please contact Jo-Anna Meurs, Career & Academic Counselor (jo-anna.meurs@pallisersd.ab.ca).
Canadian Blood Services will be at KA today from 11-1 for the What's Your Type event. Any student may have their blood typed, but donors must be at least 17 years old to donate.
If you are able to help by donating blood, please call 1-888-236-6283 or visit Blood.ca to make an appointment. The Coaldale Cares Campaign runs until December 31st, but blood is needed all year.
